SCHOOL

Visual Thinking Strategies are an educational method that starts from the observation of artwork to acquire the necessary tools to improve the visual literacy of the observer. For teachers, VTS represents an opportunity to integrate an innovative learning strategy into classroom teaching.
Through this method, it is possible to develop a rigorous and stimulating process of both individual and group problem solving: pupils are stimulated to present their own opinion on the observed work of art, to share it and to compare themselves with the opinions of their peers for collaborative learning, respecting the other’s point of view. Art is translated into a possible medium between the various school disciplines, becoming a starting point for interdisciplinary teaching, through workshop practice in the classroom and museum.
